From James Brown and Michael Jackson to Hall & Oates and Aretha Franklin, some inspiring artists have graced the stage here in the past. Their Tuesday night open Amateur Night has been running for over 80 years as a platform for up & coming talent – even being broadcast as the nationally-syndicated TV show “”Showtime At The Appollo” in the 80s and 90s. There are plenty of concerts here on a yearly basis, typically from pop, rock and classic acts from all over the world. Not only that, but there are cultural festivities to celebrate the Scottish version of New Years – Hogmanay.
