Seeing the world is one of the absolute best things you can do for yourself and there’s not shortage of reasons why you should do it, and do it often! Some people need a bit of an extra push to in order to book the flight of their dreams. Here are just a few reasons why you should drop everything & travel today!
Travelling is one of the best ways to be inspired by what’s around you. A simple change of scenery can make the world of difference in pushing you to write, create, plan and execute whatever it is that you’re good at. New colours, sights, sounds, smells, people, architecture, food and more can give you plenty of material to pull from to make your next big project perfect.
For The Experience
More than anything, travelling is about the experience and the stories you’ll get to tell after it’s all said & done. The more of the world you see, the more you’ll have to share in all kinds of space. Whether you were backpacking or staying in hostels, there’s a plethora of tales that can be shared when you travel the world. These are probably the best possible stories that you could share at dinner parties and other social settings!
Obviously, travelling is great for unwinding, easing the mind, body and soul. In our stressful day to day lives, we can often forget to do the simple things that reduce our stress and bring us joy. Taking some time away to completely change your scenery and surroundings is a great way to remind ourselves to do that. This is especially true when you fully disconnect from the outside world if you can. Don’t cut yourself off completely for safety reasons, but staying off social media, not checking your emails and texts as obsessively as we so often do in our daily lives can do so much to help us relax.
One of the best things about going to a new destination is all of the brand new foods you’ll get to eat and try while you’re there. The more metropolitan your destination, the more options you’ll find of course. You can try everything from well-known restaurants, to holes-in-the-wall that happen to be local favourites – and of course street vendor food. So much about a particular culture is tied directly to food that it’s an important factor in what brings people to particular destinations. Don’t be afraids to indulge all of your senses while you travel, or to book a trip for that specific purpose.
The world is meant for exploring so it’s imperative that you try your best to see as much of it as you can! You don’t always need a particular “reason” to go somewhere, so be open to the idea of last-minute trips and being a bit more flexible in terms of the destinations you want to go to. This will open up a whole new world of travel possibilities by doing this, and will allow you to see, experience and explore places you had never previously considered and might now love.
No matter why you travel, it’s always important to have the best quality luggage by your side while you do. Your clothes will thank you! Happy Travels!
